1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sorted AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Sorted AI is a Chrome browser extension that uses AI to analyze and organize your browser bookmarks. The Service includes:

  • AI-powered bookmark categorization
  • Automatic duplicate detection and removal
  • Dead link (404) cleanup
  • Bookmark title enhancement
  • Multi-language support

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use Sorted AI, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

3.2 One Account Per Device

Each paid account is licensed for use on one device only. Account sharing, credential sharing, or simultaneous use across multiple devices is prohibited and may result in account suspension.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Abuse the Service or attempt to circumvent usage limits
  • Share accounts across multiple devices or users

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Pricing

Sorted AI offers the following pricing plans:

  • Free Plan: $0, 2 AI organizes, no credit card required
  • Monthly Subscription: $9/month, unlimited AI features
  • Yearly Subscription: $79/year, billed annually (save 25%)
  • Lifetime Access: $149 once, one-time payment, unlimited AI features forever, includes all future updates

4.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe or Tranzila. We do not store your credit card information. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees.

4.4 Refunds

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied, email billing@sorted-ai.com within 7 days of purchase for a full refund.

After 7 days, refunds are at our discretion and evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

4.5 Cancellations

Yearly subscriptions can be canceled anytime. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period. Lifetime purchases are non-refundable after 7 days.

5. Usage Limits

Free plan includes 2 AI organizes. Paid plans (Monthly, Yearly, Lifetime) include unlimited AI uses. Non-AI features (tabs, sessions, focus mode) are unlimited on all plans.

Attempting to circumvent limits (e.g., creating multiple accounts) violates these Terms and may result in permanent ban.

6. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our Service
  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Scrape, data mine, or harvest information from the Service

7. Privacy & Data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

  • We analyze bookmark metadata (titles, domains) to organize them
  • Sensitive data (tokens, passwords) is automatically stripped
  • Your bookmarks are NOT stored after processing
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Sorted AI and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The Sorted AI name, logo, and branding are trademarks. You may not use them without written permission.

9. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Technical issues beyond our control
  • Third-party service outages (e.g., Anthropic Claude API)

We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

Sorted AI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

  • Loss of bookmarks or data
  • Errors in AI categorization
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits or productivity

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • AI organization will be perfect or error-free
  • The Service will be compatible with all browsers or systems
  • All bugs or issues will be corrected

Use the Service at your own risk.

12. Backup Responsibility

You are solely responsible for backing up your bookmarks before using the Service. While we provide a one-click restore feature, we recommend exporting your bookmarks as an additional safeguard.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. We'll notify you of significant changes via:

  • Email to your registered address
  • Notification in the Chrome extension
  • Update to the "Last Updated" date above

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of [Your Jurisdiction].

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
